How would you respond if someone invited you to show the JESUS Film in a mosque ? This actually occurred in Mali, West Africa. At first the JESUS Film team was skeptical, but they prayed, "Lord, we are in your hands."
There are more Muslim missionaries in West Africa today than in any other part of the world, and they were showing a film on the life of Mohammad the five previous nights. On the sixth night the team showed the JESUS Film. Afterwards several men came to the team and said, "The Muslims have tricked us ! The life of Mohammad was full of anger and vengeance, but Jesus was full of love and compassion." After that night, a group from the mosque started a fellowship !
Hope West Africa is a campaign designed to reach the masses in major cities throughout 10 West African countries. The JESUS Film continues to greatly influence and change lives in Africa wherever it is shown. Among the 65 versions in Nigeria, 21 feature a new introduction and closing that explains the Old Testament’s relationship to the New Testament. "The Story of Jesus for Children" is the new Children’s version of the film. Teams have even distributed cassettes of an audio version called "The Story of Jesus" to taxis and buses to play for their passengers, and radio broadcasts the audio version twice weekly.
Pray that the Hope West Africa campaign will bring many to a saving knowledge of Jesus.-JS

"And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim, king of Judah, into his hand, along with some of the articles from the temple of God. These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia."
Tragedy strikes. The chosen nation goes into exile. But in Daniel we also see something exciting happening. Throughout this short book, which contains so many exciting stories and strange prophecies, one message is trumpeted loudly and clearly : God is still on the throne ! Five times in succeeding chapters the power of God is displayed in causing the most powerful leader in the world to acknowledge Yahweh’s sovereignty in the affairs of men and nations. God’s intention here is that all men learn to recognize that although the heathen rage, and though the kings of the earth take their stand against the Lord and His anointed, He still reigns triumphant.
